Here’s a simple one. When you shower, turn off the shower while you soap or shampoo.
Thanks for the tip Paddy. I suppose to make it a festive one you could sing ‘jingle bells’ as you’re showering
Hmmmmm
here’s a suggested green list of new years resolutions:-
1, get a log maker and use all that wrapping and junk mail to make fire logs, its great to make logs from bills makes me happy anyway.
2, Organise yourself to go a foraging next year, start with hedgerow fruits and make some wine hiccccup its very good, really it is.
3, Rediscover crafts, there’s loads of things you can make yourself to give as presents, and its fun too.
4, Become a shepherd, not a sheep. get involved in changing things in whatever way your happy with.
5, Have a great Yule, and a peaceful and happy 2010…..XXX
Thanks for these tips Gerry. I am planning to go on a foraging course next year! I will be sure to blog about it when I do.
Best Wishes.

Reduce food waste. Only cook what you know will be eaten. Plan after Xmas meals on what’s got the shortest useby date. Give away unopened boxes chocs as thank-you gifts, take into work to share any surplus snack food.
I was given a couple of good books for Xmas on eco living – “How green are your wellies” and organic ways to control slugs. Apparently slugs don’t like Xmas tree pine needs – so i’m going to give mine a good shake before taking it to the recycling centre!
Also was given a christmas tree decoration made out of recycled bottled tops!
